Surrounded by rural Vermont’s rugged mountains and meandering rivers stands the Maple Sugar Inn. Originally an eighteenth-century farmhouse, it was rescued from its dilapidated state by Hattie and Brent Coleman who lovingly converted it into a boutique hotel. When Brent died suddenly before the inn opened, it was left to Hattie to carry on alone. With log fires, historic charm and even a library with wall to wall books and overstuffed sofas, it is considered the place for a winter getaway and in the weeks approaching the holidays the inn is fully booked.
